For my PhD project I explore the relevance of the notion of the sacred in understanding the contemporary functioning of artistic practices, in particularly music. For this project I conducted fieldwork at the annual Dutch arts festival Musica Sacra Maastricht. I have a background in heritage studies (Utrecht University, 2007) and art history (Courtauld Institute of Art, 2008).
